DevOps Engineer – London – £150k + Bonus

Durlston Partners are currently recruiting on behalf of a client within the insurance sector to find a DevOps engineer to join their team permanently in London. 

The firm is a pension insurance provider who spun out of a leading investment bank in the early 2000’s. Run like a boutique hedge fund, they apply systematic trading infrastructure to pension funds to yield better returns with less risk, recording $1 billion dollar returns in 2021. 

They currently have an opportunity for a talented engineer to join them on a new phase where they are building out an entirely greenfield cloud infrastructure to support the whole company. 

From day one you’ll join a tight-knit team where you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to automation, testing and reliability. 

Technical stack 

• AWS, Azure 
• Terraform
• Python, Rust 
• Postgres, Clickhouse

Required Skills 

• Advanced analytical skills (typically evidenced by a Bsc in Maths, Physics or Computer Science) 
• Applied programming skills (Python, Rust or C++) 
• AWS Cloud development and Architecture experience (experience on a cloud migration project is highly desirable)

Based in Central London they currently operate with a hybrid working policy, typically 2-3 days in the office per week.
