Head of Business Development – Crypto – Bay Area / Remote – $200 – 250k base + tokens

 

In a time when some crypto businesses are shrinking, there are only a few doing the exact opposite, with the balance sheet to make it happen.

During a recession, tech firms may adopt a more cautious approach to hiring. There’s an increased focus on cost-saving measures, and a shift towards hiring for roles that are deemed essential for the company’s immediate needs. In most cases, this means only hiring on the engineering and technology front.

Therefore, it takes a special type of firm to have the funding and the vision to continue growing its business with its first hire in Business Development.

 

The Company

We are working with project who are pioneering an approach to security in the Cosmos ecosystem. Spun out of a research lab at one of the world’s most recognisable academic institutions, this team is currently made up of top software engineers and research scientists.

 

The Role

As the first hire in Business Development and Partnerships, you will build long-term and sustainable partnerships with apps in the Cosmos ecosystem and other Layer-1 chains, as well as users of these chains such as exchanges.

You will contribute to designing business products and growing the company’s userbase. You will write business proposals, drive business negotiations, and follow through to close deals.

 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of business and partnership development experience in the crypto industry
  • Experience with Cosmos and a network in this space
  • Bay Area preferred but can consider someone in EMEA / APAC
