Lead Engineer – Analytics & Data Platform – Up to £160k base + bonus – London 

I am working with a global Asset Manager, currently managing over 1 trillion dollars in assets. My client is a tech-driven organisation looking to hire a Lead Software Engineer to support the creation of their new Analytics and Data Platform, which will be used across the business. You will join an experienced engineering team from the world’s top investment firms, that places a high value on collaboration.

Over the past few years, my client has seen a massive modernisation in their technology and now uses the latest in Java and Cloud-based technology. In this role, you will work on connectivity of the platform, have ownership of Python Libraries and create custom Data Products while working with senior stake holders across the business.

The main platform is developed using Java, with the majority of the data components in Python. You will also have exposure to new database technology like Dremio, Spark, Iceberg and Arrow.

Requirements 

• Strong coding ability using Java and Python 
• Exposure to AWS 
• Strong communication skills
• BSc or MSc in computer science or a STEM subject
