Python Engineer (Fixed Income) – Quant Hedge Fund – London – Up to £100k + Excellent bonus

A Quant Fund that returned over 25% last year is looking to hire a Junior Python Engineer to work with their Fixed Income Trading desks, to build tools, API’s as well as Research/simulation environments.

The team has historically hired the best engineers from banks, who wanted to move away from the red-tape bureaucracy and focus more on technology that can impact trading and financial markets.

This is the perfect opportunity for a Python Engineer who has recently finished a rotation scheme in a bank that wants to move to the faster-paced, collaborative environment at one of the top Hedge Funds in London.

Role:

• Architect and Design highly distributed greenfield systems using cutting-edge Python, and Cloud technology.
• Working with end-users to understand requirements and work collaboratively to provide solutions to highly technical problems.

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science
• Strong Python knowledge (in production not scripting/automation)
• Great communication skills for working with stakeholders
