Responsibilities
- As a Cybersecurity Engineer, the individual will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company’s digital ecosystem, employing advanced methods to fortify the security of financial data and defend against cyber threats.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring security of the platform and cloud resources, covering applications and infrastructure
- Defining and implementing vulnerability management processes for first party and third-party code
- Collaborating with the DevOps team to integrate security into the development process and pipelines
- Performing threat modelling and penetration testing for new and existing services
- Enhancing the detection stack, including data feeds, rule building/tuning, and associated response processes/automation
- Collaborating closely with the IT team to educate users and secure devices and the office environment
Requirements
- Over 4 years of experience in cybersecurity
- Hands-on experience implementing security in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Kubernetes)
- Understanding of cryptographic standards, encryption protocols (TLS, SSL, Symmetric, Hashing, etc.), and key management
- Experience with SIEM, Endpoint detection and response
- Knowledge of authentication protocols and authorization best practices
- Proficiency in scripting languages and security operations
- Experience implementing compliance standards like ISO27001 or SOC2 and vendor management processes
Desired Skills
- Previous experience in a start-up environment
- Familiarity with ChatGPT or equivalent LLM to enhance productivity
- Interest in trading, finance, or quantitative analysis
