The Role:
A leading investment firm is seeking a Front Office UI Development Lead to spearhead the development of high-performance applications for portfolio managers, strategists, and risk teams. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and researchers to design and implement front-office applications.
- Work alongside quantitative developers to build robust and efficient system architectures.
- Ensure that the technical architecture of delivered products is scalable and maintainable.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Expertise in TypeScript and React for building single-page applications.
- Strong experience in architecting and designing UI solutions for financial applications.
- Ability to engage with end users, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable deliverables.
- Experience leading small development teams and driving technical direction.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with JavaScript charting/visualization libraries.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks like Storybook and MSW.
- Knowledge of Electron for building desktop applications.
- Exposure to NoSQL and relational databases.
- Proficiency with Node.js and some Python for backend integrations.
- Strong grasp of common data structures and financial market data.
- Fixed income or broader financial markets experience is a plus.
