Our client is a leading trading firm providing liquidity across global financial markets. Their focus spans across a variety of asset classes, with a particular emphasis on options trading. To support the development of a new options trading desk, they’re seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Developer with expertise in Python and React. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with traders, developing cutting-edge tools and systems that drive their risk, pricing, and trading strategies.

Role Overview:

As a Full-Stack Developer you will play a pivotal role in building and implementing robust, high-performance software solutions. Your primary focus will be the development of systems and tools that enhance their trading capabilities, with a particular emphasis on options trading. This role requires a blend of technical skills, financial knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with front-office staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy innovative applications for risk management, pricing, and trading in Python and React.
  • Collaborate directly with traders to understand their needs and translate them into efficient software solutions.
  • Ensure the reliability and performance of all trading systems and tools through rigorous testing and optimization.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technological trends and best practices in software development to continually enhance their trading infrastructure.
  • Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding, debugging, and system integration.

Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in Python development.
  • Strong experience in React, capable of building intuitive, high-performance web applications.
  • Previous experience in a front-office finance role, ideally within options or derivatives trading or a closely related field.
  • Understanding of financial markets, trading principles, and the quantitative aspects of options trading.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a track record of developing innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of working closely with both technical and non-technical team members.
