Senior Staff SRE
We are recruiting a Senior Staff SRE for a Blockchain infrastructure company. The company has been recognised as one of the best places to work in tech.
This role can be fully remote in US, UK or Canada.
The role:
As a Senior Staff Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in collaboration with senior and staff+ engineers to spearhead a comprehensive, long-term tech roadmap aimed at enhancing reliability, ensuring scalability, minimizing risk, and propelling the organization toward transformative advancements in operational sustainability. Your responsibilities include mentoring and coaching individual contributors to discern patterns for enhancing reliability across software, tooling, and processes. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and performant systems.
Your Experience Should Include:
- 10+ years of software development experience, specializing in Golang, Kotlin, Rust, Java, or C++.
- Strong foundation in computer science and programming fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
- Over 5 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure and scaling distributed systems.
- At least 5 years of technical leadership on SRE/SWE teams focused on infrastructure, reliability, and/or software engineering at scale.
- Understanding of Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs), along with experience in designing and implementing them.
Previous Company Background:
We value candidates with FAANG (Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, Google) experience and a background in big tech organizations. While we appreciate the fundamentals taught at such companies, we also highly value applicants with a mix of FAANG and startup experience. The ability to wear multiple hats and thrive in a startup environment is a distinct advantage.
Budget:
- Up to $375,000 base + Stock Options – US
- Up to £235,000 base + Stock Options – UK
- Up to $305,000 CAD base + Stock Options – Canada
