Role Overview:

As a Trading Desk Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in this firm’s ambitious growth journey. Your initial focus will involve building our FX option market making business from the ground up, collaborating with traders to develop end-to-end workflows. From pricing and risk systems to trading tools, your projects will contribute to our evolution into a leading player in the financial industry.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with technology teams, utilising existing services to support business partners
• Stay on top of product features, technology trends, and computing advancements
• Engage with traders, quants, and technologists to gather and drive requirements
• Architect high-performance full stack solutions to address business challenges
• Actively participate and share expertise in design and code reviews
• Work closely with DevOps to ensure software quality and seamless production deployment

What We’re Looking For:

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in Python and modern web development frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, Asyncio/Aiohttp)
• Experience in RESTful API and websocket development
• Front-end technologies expertise (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular)
• Financial industry experience, particularly in options

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with SQL databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, Snowflake)
• Knowledge of containerisation tools and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
