Durlston Partners is working with a top-tier Quant Trading firm seeking a DevOps Engineer to help design, automate, and scale their trading infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in ensuring system reliability, performance, and scalability in a fast-moving, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain high-performance, scalable infrastructure for trading systems
- Automate deployments, monitoring, and operational workflows
- Improve reliability, observability, and performance across distributed systems
Ideal Experience:
- 4+ years as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or Systems Engineer
- Strong Python experience
- Strong Linux and AWS background
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Grafana, or similar tools
- Familiarity with distributed systems, low-latency environments, or trading infrastructure

The work that you’ll be doing is crucial to the success and profitability of this team. After all, if the systems are down, that’s time out of the market and time out of market means money lost.
Besides how important this function is in the team, you’ll have the luxury of not being weighed down by heavy, monolithic, aging systems which aren’t fit for purpose; you’ll be building cloud infra from the ground up for maximum up-time.
Typically a successful addition to this team will look like someone comfortable with:
- CI/CD experience
- Strong networking skills (managing core components, layer 0)
- Leveraging K8s for containerisation
- Cloud security practices
- Using Prometheus / Grafana for observability / monitoring
- Python coding
